After Use

To preserve its insulating properties, we recommend hanging your garment on a hanger after each use to avoid compressing the down's loft. Maintaining loft allows the feathers to trap warm air, ensuring optimal insulation. We recommend storing your garment in a well-ventilated area. Furthermore, to prevent damage to the fabric, be sure to keep it out of direct sunlight.

Down Loss

Occasionally, feathers may escape through the weave or seams. If a feather is sticking out of a seam, you can gently remove it using a piece of tape. If it's sticking out through the fabric, don't pull it out: pinch it from the underside and tuck it back inside the garment. Finally, gently massage the area to remove any trace of the feather.

YokePanel

In accordance with the care label instructions, we recommend entrusting your garment to a leather cleaning specialist. Many traditional dry cleaners also offer services that connect you with experts; we encourage you to inquire at your local shop. For example, we suggest the services of Koba Hikaku .

Nylon

Dissolve soap or a mild detergent in water, then soak a soft sponge or brush in this solution and gently scrub the stains. Afterward, rinse only the treated areas thoroughly with water.

Leather

Use a brush or dry cloth to remove dust and dirt from the leather patch. For stubborn stains, apply a small amount of leather cleaner to a soft cloth and wipe the affected area. For regular maintenance, apply a thin, even coat of leather oil or conditioner with a soft cloth. Then, hang the garment until the product is fully absorbed. *Always test the cleaner or conditioner on an inconspicuous area before applying.

Mouton

Gently tap the collar to remove any dust. If stains persist, use a sponge or soft cloth dampened with a mixture of water and soap (or mild detergent), and gently dab the soiled area.

Without Leather Yoke

The collar and cuffs are areas in direct contact with the skin, making them particularly prone to perspiration and sebum stains. Dissolve soap or a mild detergent in water, then dampen a soft sponge or brush with this solution and gently scrub the affected areas. If you notice soiling or odors throughout the garment, please wash it according to the care label instructions. We also recommend washing the garment before any long-term storage. Here is an example of a home washing procedure.

1.

Fill a basin or bucket with lukewarm water and dissolve a special down detergent in it.

2.

Completely immerse the garment in lukewarm water and gently hand wash it using successive squeezing motions. For heavily soiled areas, rub lightly with a sponge without damaging the fabric.

3.

Once the wash cycle is complete, rinse thoroughly to remove all detergent residue. This step is crucial, as soap residue can affect the loft of the down.

4.

After rinsing, gently squeeze the garment to remove the water from the down. Once most of the water has been removed, wrap it in a bath towel to absorb any remaining moisture.

5.

When the garment is partially wrung out, place it in a laundry bag and tumble dry it for about 20 minutes on a low temperature setting.

6.

If the garment is not completely dry after tumble drying, or if the dryer cannot be used, dry the garment flat in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight.

7.

Once the garment is completely dry, grasp the fabric on both sides and pull lightly on it several times to re-air the down and restore its original loft.
