Craftsmanship

A dense nylon that breathes

A standard taffeta has around 210 threads and is given a coating that stops it from breathing. Ours has more than 50 more, and its waxed finish protects it without smothering it. Underneath, 700 FP water-repellent European down keeps in the warmth without adding weight.

Frequently asked questions

How do I wear a down jacket in the city?

Over a chambray shirt or a knit, with work trousers: its short cut pairs naturally with workwear pieces.

Which size should I choose?

Compare the shoulder and chest widths on the product page with a jacket you like, bearing in mind what you will wear underneath.

Can I wash my jacket?

Without a leather yoke, yes, by hand with a special down detergent. With a leather yoke, take it to a specialist. All the steps are on our Care page.

Down is escaping: is this normal?

A feather may poke through from time to time. Don't pull it out: gently push it back from the reverse of the fabric.

Our story

From the ranch to the streets of Paris

Born in the late 1960s for Wyoming cowboys, Rocky Mountain Featherbed jackets soon left the ranch. In 1980s Paris, they could be found at GLOBE, the city’s very first select shop; Jean-Paul Belmondo wore one of the brand’s parkas for years, and Claude Brasseur wears one in La Boum 2. The adventure ended at the close of the decade, then resumed in Japan in 2005. Today, the Christy Jacket, the Down Jacket and the women’s styles are back in Paris, in our Marais boutique.
